i'm split on the color. i would like the original michigan yellow paint, and i'm also fond of darker colored willys, like a dark green. the paint thats on it is so thick, that i might just leave it on there. it has protected the body from rust for who knows how many years. i dont mind the looks of an old rough looking willys. it just says that it was used for what the CJ2A was built for..work. as long as it runs, stops, and steers, nothing else really matters.

since they are both in about the same shape, hopefully we can get brakes working on both, and get them both registered/insured, and head up the for the next cruise. :auto-driving:

got some new shoes on this week. 16" CJ2A rims with 6.50 traction tires(junker's CJ2A's old wheels/tires). didnt know how they would fit with the worn out suspension but there is plenty of room. but they dont do to well in snow...got the thing stuck in the back of the driveway the other day, had to shovel it out.

it got another set of tires/wheels today. 7.00/16". little bigger than i like, but they are in a lot better shape than the other ones. plenty of room to flex still too. shackles are froze up/too tight by the looks of it. still trying to get the gas tank cleaned out so it wont need the big red jug on the cowl.

Well, with my CJ being down for a while, i decided to turn the attention to my lonely willys that has been sitting in the corner of the driveway for a year. made some progress on her today. got the top/windshield frame off, got the seats out, and got the gas tank out to clean. been busy all day flushing out the tank and still keep getting crud out of it. might just have to go buy a new tank. anyway, this weekend ill be ordering brakes for it and next week will be bellcrank and carb kit. hope to have it on the road in the next 2 weeks or so, but dont think it will be ready in time to go to jeepfest.

Got some more accomplished today. I won $500 for 1st place in the rodeo yesterday so I ordered all new brakes, gas tank, carb rebuild kit, bellcrank rebuilt kit, etc.... so since its almost on the road, I started the body work tonight. got it all primed and ready for paint. just need to sand the patchwork done tonight.

tow hook, front hubs are not lock out hubs. just shift the transfercase and go. lockouts were not available from factory in 46.
